Pretend City Pairs Health Screenings With St. Patrick's Day Celebration

Pretend City wishes you luck and good health this weekend at their family wellness event.

Don't leave your child's developmental health to luck. Celebrate Saint Patrick's Day at Pretend City and take part in the Good To Go From Head To Toes's Third Annual Family Fun and Wellness Fair.

Good to Go From Head to Toe is a development initiative of Pretend City Children's Museum and is grant-funded by the Children and Families Commission of Orange County, with the goal of increasing wellness in local children. Parents who take a proactive approach to checking their child's developmental progress from head to toe are ensuring their child is set for success in school, and in the community. The number of children in Orange County who do not receive these checkups as part of a standard well visit is staggering.

The Saint Patrick's Day event will feature screenings for children ages 0-5 with hearing, speech, language, fine and gross motor skills, BMI and dental. Children who receive at least three of the developmental screenings will receive free admission into Pretend City.

Visiting a developmental professional while celebrating the luck of the Irish promises to be lots of fun. Families can enjoy live music, dancing performances by the Claddagh Irish Dance Company, and the Amazing Kazoom Band. Children can even get their face painted while waiting in line to visit with health related professionals like: Speech Pathology Associates, Dr. Selena Emond, Head To Toe Therapy, Racing Ahead, Providence Speech & Hearing, South OC Pediatric Dentistry, Zachary Orthodontics, Orange County Health Care Agency, Help Me Grow Orange County and Irvine Unified & Laguna Beach Unified School Readiness Nurses.

Healthy foods like Jamba Juice, Seabirds food truck and Lulu's Café will be on site.

Event Date and Hours: Saturday March 17, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
