Palihouse is a hidden hideaway to most, but a neighborhood place to those in the know. The local creative community gathers to work, eat, drink, and socialize. When you first walk in this inconspicuous door, you feel as if you walked into the sitting room of your well-traveled, eccentric relatives. The eclectic mix of furnishings and décor is a cross section of boutique European meets Philippe Starke and is inviting and comfortable.
This welcoming lobby lounge is the first option of spaces available for events. The space has the ability to transform from an evening cocktail party with DJ and dancing space to a workshop space for writers and entrepreneurs to a beautiful backdrop for a unique wedding. Other spaces include the cozy café, private dining room, courtyard brasserie, plus a fun rooftop space with a great view overlooking WeHo. Additionally, there are beautiful and expansive loft suites perfect for screenings, trunk shows, and other intimate gatherings. Plus, overnight guests can stay in one of their 36 studio, one- or two-bedroom guest suites.
The café / catering offers food that is comforting with a unique twist. The menu features a wide variety of small plates and many other dishes… Beer Battered Broccoli with Thai Chili Sauce, Burrata and Basil, House-made Potato Gnocchi with Braised Beef Short Ribs and Tomato Basil, Hamachi Riding Ahi Bareback with Ginger Shallot Vin and a yummy Chicken Apricot Pot Pie that is one of my favorites. These dishes are the results of the combined creativity of consulting Chef Brenden Collins, alongside Chefs de Cuisine Rui Wang and Ryan Digby. You can enjoy specially mixed drinks including their signature drink 'The Writer's Block' Made with Oxley Gin, St, Germain, Lime and Champagne, classics like a Tom Collins and Kir Royal and a nice selection of wines and beers.
Palihouse also has its own special events including Silent Discos on their rooftop, special occasion multi-course dining menus, a weekly Brit Brunch, and exclusive lounge parties. The Palihouse Lounge does enforce a strict door policy, but never charges a cover. All of their in-house curated events and updates can be seen on their Facebook Page and Twitter pages.
