Coroner IDs 4-Year-Old Girl Found Dead In Closet Inside Westchester Apartment

WESTCHESTER (CBS) — Coroner’s officials Saturday released the identity of a 4-year-old girl who was found dead earlier this week in her Westchester apartment.

The child, identified as Miriah Cobb, was found unresponsive inside a closet of a back bedroom of an apartment in the 8600 block of Belford Avenue.

Police said that a call came in around 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

According to coroner’s officials, Cobb’s cause of death is pending toxicology tests.

Sources for CBS2/KCAL9 say the child was found hanged inside the closet and residents of the Carmel Apartments apparently heard the same.

Investigators believe the incident is a tragic accident, but an investigation is ongoing.

I agree Cindy, and I’d also like to know what the hell was she hanging from. This story has never been made clear. A four year doesn’t just end up randomly hanging in the closet. Tragic accident??? Who was supposed to be taking care of her at the time? I’d like to know the full story, something tells me there is more to this than meets the eye or the details released would be a little more extensive. Poor child!

.am I the only one here that finds this to be far more than just your everyday “tragic accident” .
