Dennis Quaid's Wife Files For Divorce

AUSTIN, Texas (CBS/AP) — Actor Dennis Quaid's third wife has filed for divorce, saying the couple's seven-year marriage has "become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities."

Kimberly Buffington Quaid filed a petition this month in Travis County, Texas, using the initials "B.K." and identifying Quaid as "W.D." But representatives for Quaid confirmed the split, saying a "satisfactory settlement is being worked out for both parties."

The divorce papers filed March 2 were first reported Friday by celebrity website TMZ.

The couple has twins Zoe Grace and Thomas Boone, born in 2007. The twins were accidentally given a near-fatal overdose of the blood thinner Heparin at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The regular dose is 10 units; each twin received 10,000 units. They have made a full recovery.

Quaid previously married and divorced actresses P. J. Soles and Meg Ryan.
