Crews Extinguish Trash Fire In East Los Angeles
EAST LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Firefighters extinguished a trash fire near Soto Street and Valley Boulevard Friday afternoon.
Thick black smoke from the blaze, which started just before noon, could be seen from miles away.
Fire crews initally requested additional units as they worked to keep the blaze from spreading to a nearby building.
The blaze was declared knocked down at 12:15 p.m.
