NORTH HILLS (CBS) — LAUSD officials confirm that a kindergarten teacher has been removed from Lassen Elementary School in North Hills.
CBS2 obtained a copy of a letter sent to parents from the school’s principal, Dana Carter.
“This letter is to inform you that an allegation has been made of inappropriate behavior involving a staff member,” Carter writes. “Upon receiving the information, the proper authorities were notified. As part of the investigation, the employee has been temporarily removed from the school.”
The district hasn’t released the teacher’s name, but says more information will be released Tuesday.
KNX1070′s Jon Baird reports.
LAPD and school officials say no arrests have been made in connection with the investigation.
Superintendent John Deasy recently ordered staff to review teacher files for any possible misconduct in the wake of a growing sex abuse scandal.
