Funeral To Be Held For 10-Year-Old Girl Who Died Following After-School Fight

LONG BEACH (CBS) — A funeral is expected to be held Sunday for a 10-year-old girl who died following an after-school fight with another girl.

The body of Joanna Ramos is set to be buried about 3 p.m. at Hollywood Forever Cemetery on Santa Monica Boulevard.

Hundreds of friends and family said tearful goodbyes at a wake Saturday night.

Ramos died Feb. 24, after a fight with another student in an alleyway near Willard Elementary School in Long Beach.

It's believed the girls were arguing over a boy.

Police say she died hours later to trauma of the head.
