IKEA To Roll Out Prefab Homes For Just $80K
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — In the market for a new home? How about a brand new abode for just under $100,000?
Swedish furniture giant IKEA will soon be rolling out pre-fab home kits starting ranging from $80,000 to $86,000.
The Aktiv is a 745 square foot home that features a kitchen, dining room, living room, one bedroom and one bath. The pre-assembled homes also have Eco-friendly appliances and materials.
While the home may be cheap, buyers still need to purchase the land for the house, pay for permits, a foundation, hire electricians and plumbers and any other help one may need.
