Former Youth Soccer Coach Accused Of Making Another Teen Girl Send Him Self-Made Porn
NEWPORT BEACH (CBS) — Orange County prosecutors filed additional child porn charges Friday against a former girls' soccer team coach who was accused in January of having a 13-year-old girl make porn videos of herself for him.
Robert Vincent Peace, 45, of Lake Forest, faces new charges of having a 14-year-old girl send him child pornography videos of herself, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
Peace, a British citizen, is accused by prosecutors of meeting the 14-year-old girl and the 13-year-old girl through a web-based video chat room, Stickam.com. The 14-year-old girl from Virginia sent Peace sexually explicit videos of herself for two years, prosecutors allege.
Peace was accused of threatening the 13-year-old girl that he would post the videos online if she did not continue to send him new pornographic images of herself, according to Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Walker.
The victim alleges Peace posted some of the videos online anyway.
Prosecutors previously charged Peace with 16 felonies and a sentencing enhancement allegation for substantial sexual conduct with a child. He now also faces an additional felony count of lewd acts on a child and a felony count of possession of child pornography related to the 14-year-old girl, according to prosecutors.
Investigators found evidence related to the 14-year-old girl during an analysis of his computer, according to prosecutors.
When Peace was arrested in January he possessed more than 1,500 images and more than 300 videos of child pornography featuring teenage girls on his computer, Walker said.
One of Peace's family members came across the alleged child porn in February 2011 and gave the hard drive to Orange County sheriff's deputies, Walker said.
That led to an investigation headed by the Orange County Child Exploitation Task Force, which includes agents from U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement, Orange County Sheriff's Department and Huntington Beach Police Department.
Peace coached the Irvine Blades, a soccer team for girls younger than 14, Walker said.
