Wanted Since 2002, High-Risk Sex Offender Nabbed In Mexico
RIVERSIDE (AP) — Authorities say a high-risk sex offender wanted for nearly a decade for failing to register is back in Riverside County following his arrest in Mexico.
The district attorney's office says Darrell Craig Sinclair was arrested by U.S. marshals on Tuesday near Guadalajara, Mexico and was extradited to Riverside County that same day.
Prosecutors say the 66-year-old former Menifee resident has eight prior convictions for lewd acts on a child — one in Los Angeles County and seven in Orange County.
Prosecutors in Riverside County filed a criminal complaint against Sinclair in 2002 after he allegedly failed to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
