Villaraigosa Says LA Has No Plans To Sell Ontario Airport
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa says the city of Los Angeles has no plans to sell Ontario Airport.
Villaraigosa told a group of Inland Empire officials and business leaders that the city will not sell the airport, which has seen a sharp drop in travelers.
Ontario officials, who claim travelers are being driven to Los Angeles International Airport at their city's expense, want to gain control of the airport.
Officials with Los Angeles World Airports, which oversees Ontario Airport, say the decline in travel is due to the struggling economy.
