HEMET (CBS) — Deputies arrested a female Hemet High School teacher Thursday and accused her of having sex with a male student on campus, a sheriff’s department spokesman said.

Hemet school district officials notified the sheriff’s department on Wednesday that a teacher may have been involved in a sexual relationship with a student at the school in December, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Wally Clear.

As a result of an investigation, deputies arrested Janel Ramirez, 31, on suspicion of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, Clear said.

District records showed that Ramirez graduated from Hemet High School in 1999 and has been an English teacher with the district since 2007.

This shouldn’t surprise anyone. Ever since the existence of humans tons of males and a lot of females have and WILL CONTINUE to have sex with minors. Regardless of whether one believes this is right or wrong is irrelevant because it will continue to happen. For these people the extraordinary amount of those feel good endorphins that get released during sex with a minor (especially if they are a virgin) is worth going to jail for a few months. This might sound “sick” but this is the world we live in people. From priests to police officers…it goes on in every industry. When I was 16 I had sex with a DMV employee which I don’t regret because it was darn good. Yes, it was illegal but I consented and the US Government shouldn’t tell me “your too young to consent and we have these laws for your protection”…LOL…bunch of BS

Funny you mentioned police officers because last year I was stopped for speeding at 2am on an empty/dark street in Fullerton and after he gave me a written warning he reached INSIDE my bra and squeezed my right breast I said “hey!” and he just goes “if you don’t want them grabbed don’t show them” – JERK! Really an amazing teacher! When I attended Junior High School and High School, the teachers were not all “sniffing” around for their next sexual partner. They taught us grammar, spelling and composition.

Instead of praying for her, take a beginning English class Trust me, while the teachers were “sniffing” around, they didn’t do you a service.
