IHOP To Give Away Free Flapjacks On National Pancake Day

HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — IHOP locations across the Southland will be giving away free pancakes to customers who make a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network on National Pancake Day.

Any contribution made between 7 a.m. to a 10 p.m. Tuesday will benefit Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and get you a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes.

Miss America Laura Kaeppeler will be busy flipping flapjacks all day at the IHOP in Hollywood.

“You have to have the grill at 350 degrees,” Kaeppeler, the goodwill ambassador for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, told CBS2. “You have to leave the pancakes sitting for about two minutes, and if you’re at home making them, you have to make the batter with cold water and that will make the perfect pancake. “

IHOP hopes to raise $2.7 million this year, which would bring the total amount of funds raised over the years to $10 million.

You reported on Khol’s sales practices. I shopped at Khol’s years ago one time I figured them out then. They would raise the price just to lower it for a sale just so you would pay the original price. In reality there really wasn’t a sale but a profit. Why pentalize them when the gas prices are done in the same manner. Raise it to lower it but never lowering it to the same price as before. These people consider the public as dumb to what is happening. This is why it continues no one ever calls them on it. Don’t stop continue to investigate it is a lot more people taking advantage of the public who tend to be sleep to where their money is going and why.
