Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Feb. 27)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Good Monday morning all! It's going to be a quiet morning...with a busy afternoon.

There is a storm center moving towards the Southland. We will see the clouds thicken up ahead of the storm in the early hours. As the marine layer increases...we could even see some pre-storm drizzle. Expect rain this afternoon once the cold front moves through.

The latest models are now giving us a better chance at some measurable precip...in the ball park of .50". The big story on this system will be the winds and some low snow levels again.

Look for the winds to pick up through the day. We've got high wind advisories for most areas except for Apple Valley and Lucerne Valley which will be under a wind warning. There is also a winter weather advisory for Los Angeles County. We are expecting 1 to 3 inches of snow down to 2500'.

There is also a Winter Storm Warning for Riverside and San Bernardino County. Snow accumulation for the higher elevations could reach as high as 10 inches.

This system moves through fairly quickly with a few degrees of warming in store for Tuesday.

Beaches -upper 50s
