TOLUCA LAKE (CBS) — A Toluca Lake corner will be designated the Bob and Dolores Hope Square on Monday in honor of the late comedian and his wife.
Councilman Tom LaBonge will be joined by Burbank Mayor Jess Talamantes and the couple’s daughter Linda at the 9 a.m. ceremony at the intersection of Lankershim Boulevard and Moorpark Street.
The dedication will come a day after the 84th annual Academy Awards ceremony, which Hope hosted a record 18 times.
“Bob and Dolores Hope were two of the greatest people ever,” LaBonge said. “What a team. They’re together in heaven right now, but they’re immortalized right here on this corner in Toluca Lake.”
The Hopes were longtime residents of Toluca Lake.
Bob died in 2003 at the age of 100. His wife passed away last year at the age of 102.
