LOS ANGELES (CBS) — In two unrelated murders, a man was shot to death in Lynwood and another man was shot dead in East Rancho Dominguez Saturday, according to authorities.

The Lynwood victim was gunned down about 3 p.m. at Platt Avenue and Spruce Street, said Sheriff’s deputy Guillermina Saldana.

The victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Two hours later, an unidentified man was gunned down in East Rancho Dominguez.

That shooting took place in the 14800 block of White Avenue, according to Saldana.

That victim was also taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The names of the deceased were not released pending notification of next of kin.
