Former TV Producer Accused In Wife's Murder Breaks Silence
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Bruce Beresford-Redman, former reality TV producer, is behind bars in Cancun, suspected of killing his wife while on a trip to reconcile their failing marriage. CBS' "48 Hours" was able to visit the man and capture his claims of innocence with a cellphone camera.

"I'm innocent," Beresford-Redman tells a "48 Hours" producer on camera. "I did not kill my wife. I had nothing to do with her death."
"48 Hours" correspondent Troy Roberts says his producer was able to interview Beresford-Redman using a cellphone video camera, undetected by guards at the Mexican prison.
"It was pretty extraordinary," says Roberts, whose producer made it through three checkpoints and a metal detector with the phone.
"The jailers did not know he had a cell phone," says Roberts. "And not once did a security guard come in and check in on my producer with Bruce."
Roberts says "48 Hours" was able to obtain 35 minutes of footage with the suspect, who is telling his side of the story for the first time.
The disheveled inmate also delivers a personal message to his children via the cellphone camera.
"To my children, to Camilla and Alec," I love you guys so much," says Beresford-Redman. "I miss you so much. "I'm sorry that mommy's gone and now daddy's gone too."
Beresford-Redman is the prime suspect in the death of his wife Monica.
Roberts says the former "Survivor" producer asked his wife for a second chance after she learned he was carrying on a long-term affair with a casting agent. The couple booked a trip to Cancun, along with their two children, to attempt to repair their marriage and celebrate Monica's forty-second birthday.
Three days after their arrival Monica disappeared. Her body was found in a sewer about 300 feet from the couple's hotel room.
Beresford-Redman was extradited Feb. 8 from Los Angeles to face murder charges in Mexico.
