Polytechnic High School Athletic Assistant, 27, Accused Of Inappropriate Relationship With Girl, 16
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A Polytechnic High School athletic assistant was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of having an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old girl.
The Los Angeles Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children unit says that Jose Rosario Alvarez, 27, had been involved with the girl over the Internet and in person-to-person contact.
The girl attends another school within the Los Angeles Unified School District.
Alvarez was booked for unlawful sex with a minor and is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center on $20,000 bail.
The school district says they have removed Alvarez from contact with students pending further proceedings.
