Man's Arm Broken During Rumble Over Public Restroom

MONTEBELLO (CBS) — Police say two men fighting over a toilet at a Del Taco restaurant ended with one arrest and one broken arm.

A 62-year-old transient was already inside the restroom at the restaurant, 880 N. Wilcox Ave., at about 8:43 a.m. Tuesday when another man wanted to use it, according to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. The two men began to argue over the toilet, which led to the fight.

Montebello police Lt. Mike Bergman told the newspaper the transient, later identified at Kenny Sakamoto, kicked the older man's arm several time. The victim, who lives in Los Angeles, was taken to a hospital with a broken arm.

Sakamoto, whose last known residence was in Montebello, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. He's being held on $30,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
