LOS ANGELES (CBS) - Power to 60,000 customers in the Venice, Westchester and Playa Del Rey areas, plus terminals at Los Angeles International Airport, briefly went out Tuesday morning.
The outage at LAX began about 11:10 a.m., airport spokesman Marshall Lowe said. Power was restored in eight minutes, but terminals 1 and 2 were still affected a half hour later, he said.
By noon, power had been restored to all but 8,600 customers in other affected areas of the city, according to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
It’s not immediately clear what caused the outage.
There’s no word on whether any flights were delayed.
