Girl, 5, To Be Taken Off Life Support After Her Mother Allegedly Tried To Drown Her

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A father has decided to take his 5-year-old daughter off life support days after the child’s mother allegedly tried to drown her in a bathtub.

CBS2 has been told the child is brain dead and her family will donate her organs.

Lorne Valle, 32, was booked last week for murder in the death of her 1-year-old daughter, Lindsay Taque, and attempted murder in the near drowning of her other daughter, whose name has not been released.

Valle, who faces murder and attempted murder charges, is being held on $1.5 million bail.

Neighbors say she was suicidal in the weeks leading up to Wednesday’s incident.

This is going to sound extremely trite considering the subject matter of the article, but the headline should read “drowned”, not “drown”.

Such a sad story with no happy ending..IMO..if she gets either Life in Prison or Death Sentence…they should do it in her country…whether Mexico or Central America…We (Tax Payers) should NOT be paying for her stay. This goes for all criminals not born in the US.

My heart screams out to you God for this father! May he seek into you for strength, understanding, & hope that I know only you can give. For the whole family. May the mother get help & soon repent for this awful act. May she be given justified forgiveness. God you took these little babies home & may they be guardian angels to their family that remains on earth.
My heart goes out to the whole family. My prayers go out to you all.
