1 Killed After Car Goes Over Cliff In Palmdale; Victim May Be Missing Man

PALMDALE (CBS) — A body found inside of a vehicle that crashed along the Angeles Forest Highway may be that of a man reported missing over the weekend, authorities said Monday.

The crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 8:16 a.m. on Monday on Mount Gleason Road in Palmdale, according to CHP Officer Tatiana Sauquillo.

SKY9 captured images of a yellow sedan yellow sedan had rolled approximately 100 feet off the main roadway onto the side of a canyon.

Authorities said the driver may be a La Mirada man who took a drive toward Palmdale on Saturday. He was reported missing by family members on Sunday.

The coroner has yet to confirm the victim's identity.

CHP officials have not released any further details.
