War Veterans On Cross-Country Mission To Raise Awareness
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Three war veterans have embarked on a new journey in hope of raising awareness of issues facing veterans today.
Jeremy Staat, Wesley Barrientos and Dale Porter are being joined by others on their 4,200-mile trek to the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C.
On Sunday, the cyclists made it to Edwards Air Force Base, a day after starting their 100-day journey from Bakersfield, Calif.
The men hope their journey will raise awareness of veteran suicide rates and improve the VA Health Care system.
