COSTA MESA (CBS) — Two people were wounded in an early-morning shooting in Costa Mesa.
In a statement released, Costa Mesa police say several shots were fired in the back of a parking lot at a Denny’s restaurant on Harbor Boulevard. The incident occurred at 1:54 a.m.
When officers arrived on scene, they say they did not see any victims but found evidence to suggest that a shooting had occurred.
According to police, the victims showed up at a local hospital, where one was listed in critical condition.
The second victim was treated for a wound to the leg and has since been released.
A suspect description was immediately available.
