Warehouse Workers Protest Alleged Labor Violations At Wal-Mart Contractor Facility
RIVERSIDE (CBS) — Hundreds of disgruntled workers plan to picket a mega-warehouse in the Inland Empire over alleged labor violations on Thursday.
KNX 1070's Brian Ping reports over 100 employees and their supporters will try to call attention to what they say are unfair and unsafe working conditions at the Jurupa Valley facility that stores goods for Walmart.

Workers filed a lawsuit against warehouse operator Schneider Logistics in October of last year for alleged labor violations including underpayment, supervisors' refusal to allow breaks, and routine firings for frivolous reasons.
A federal judge issued an injunction last month prohibiting Schneider from terminating some of the same workers expected to be participating in the demonstration at the 500,000-square-foot facility on Hammer Avenue.
Schneider says it has consistently operated "in full compliance with all applicable statutes and regulations."
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. contracts with Schneider for storage and shipment of its products.
"We hold all of our vendors to high standards, and our expectation is they comply with all applicable laws," Dan Fogleman of Walmart told reporters.
