LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A 40-year-old teacher’s aide with the Los Angeles Unified School District has been charged with four felony sex-related counts.

Alain Salas was arrested Monday at Freemont High School on suspicion of attempting to have sexual contact with a 15-year-old student.

He is scheduled to be arraigned at the Compton Courthouse Wednesday afternoon on three counts of lewd act on a child and one count of contact with a minor for a sexual offense.

According to the FBI, Salas tried to contact the victim online and in person.

Salas, who worked at Fremont High since 2006 as an aide for special education students and a coaching assistant for the girl’s volleyball and softball teams, is being held without bail at the Los Angeles Inmate Reception Center.
