ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Anaheim Ducks recalled goaltender Jeff Deslauriers and sent goalie Iiro Tarkki to AHL Syracuse on Tuesday.
It was the second time in nine days that the two backup goaltenders were swapped for each other. Regular goalie Jonas Hiller, 9-2-3 with a 1.89 goals-against average in his past 14 games, has gotten most of the starts recently as the Ducks climb back into the Western Conference playoff race.
Deslauriers stopped 26 of 28 shots in his only appearance with the Ducks this season, a 5-2 win over Dallas on Jan. 12.
Tarkki stopped seven of 10 shots in a relief appearance for Anaheim during a 7-4 win over Columbus on Jan. 8.
