LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The public’s help was sought Monday in identifying a strong-armed robbery who held up a gas station in El Sereno.
Police say a man walked behind the counter of a gas station in the 5300 block of South Huntington Drive and demanded money from the cash drawer on Jan. 29, just after 10 p.m. The clerk feared for his life and handed over the money, and the robber left the store and drove off in a late-90′s dark-colored sedan.
Police released video from store surveillance cameras in an effort to catch the robber.
The suspect is described as a white or light-skinned Hispanic man between 35-45 years old, 6-foot-1, weighing about 230 pounds.
Anyone with information about the man or the robbery can call Detective Miguel Barajas at (323) 342-8988.
