HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — Six people were injured early Sunday when an argument erupted into gunfire at a banquet hall on Sunset Boulevard, authorities reported.
Four men and six women were shot at Vatican Banquet Hall, located at 5214 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. The shooting at about 1:50 a.m., Los Angeles police Sgt. Tim Jenneman said.
“There was a dispute at a private event, and someone pulled out a handgun and started shooting,” Jenneman said. “Four males and two females received non-life-threatening wounds.”
One man was shot in the abdomen and a leg, another man’s leg was hurt and two others were shot in their feet, Jenneman said. A bullet grazed one woman’s head and another woman sustained a gunshot to the leg, he added.
Police have not made any immediate arrests. Investigators were working to recover video from the banquet hall to help identify the gunman.
