2 Sought In Home Invasion Robbery In Coachella

COACHELLA (CBS) — Deputies Saturday were looking for two men suspected of breaking into a Coachella home, tying up the residents and making off with an undisclosed amount of money, a sheriff's department sergeant said.

The incident in the 84000 block of Corte Cinderella occurred about 3:30 a.m., sheriff's Sgt. Steve DaSilva said.

"The victims were awakened by two male adults who brandished firearms and demanded cash," DaSilva said. "The suspects bound the victims and fled the location with the cash. The victims were not injured."

According to DaSilva, investigators do not believe that the residence was chosen at random. No other details were released.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his mid-30s. He is about 6-feet tall with a thin build. He has a short brown hair and was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.

The second suspect is also a Hispanic male believed to be in his mid-30s. He is approximately 5-feet, 6-inches tall with a heavy build and shaved head. He was last seen wearing a striped blue and white shirt and blue jeans.
