18-Year-Old Sexually Assaulted Inside Her South Pasadena Home

SOUTH PASADENA (CBS) —  Authorities say an 18-year-old was sexually assaulted in her South Pasadena home early Wednesday and police are asking the public's help in apprehending a suspect.

The assault occurred around 2:50 a.m. in the 600 block of Monterey Road, according to the South Pasadena Police Department.

The victim was asleep in her bedroom when she was awakened by the suspect who then sexually assaulted her, police said.

The suspect is white, between 40 and 50 years old with brown eyes and curly brown hair. The suspect was 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighed between 180 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.

Police urged anyone with information regarding the suspect or the sexual assault to contact the South Pasadena Police Department at (626) 403-7270.
