Car Theft Suspects Injure Woman In Westminster Hit-And-Run Crash

WESTMINSTER (CBS) — A woman remains hospitalized with a skull fracture after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver Tuesday night.

The victim was hit at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Bolsa Avenue at 7:30 p.m.

Police say four men in a Lexus SUV, which they believe was stolen earlier this week, struck a power pole and skidded onto a sidewalk.

Witnesses say the four men fled on foot, but two were detained a short time later after a yard-to-yard search of the area.

The suspects were released, but police are still looking for the other two men.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE SUSPECTS WERE RELEASED? What purpose do we have a police force for. Those suspects should not have been released until they revealed the identity of the other two suspects. A woman is in the hospital with a fractured skull . What the hell is the matter with the police in Westminster????
    Give me a break.

It means that no one could positively identify them as being in the SUV. Just because they were released doesn’t mean they wont be picked up later and charged if the police get information that they were involved.
