Lakers Release Derrick Caracter
(CBS) -- The Los Angeles Lakers have created a roster spot on Tuesday by releasing forward Derrick Caracter.
The former second round pick was averaging 15.5 points and 7.5 rebounds for the LA D-Fenders.
Caracter never appeared in a game this season with the Lakers.
With the roster spot, the Lakers could go after a point guard, with Gilbert Arenas being an option.
