Body Reportedly Found In Trash Can In Southwest Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (CBS) —  A body was found Saturday morning in the Chesterfield Square area of Southwest Los Angeles, but few details were immediately available, police said.

The find was reported at 9:25 a.m. at 66th Street and Halldale Avenue, one block west of Normandie Avenue, said Officer Rosario Herrera of the Los Angeles Police Department.

“It is still unknown whether the body is that of a male or a female,” Herrera said, “and we don’t know the ethnicity yet.”

Video crews at the scene told City News Service the body was found in a trash can.

As of 3:30 p.m., police remained at the scene of the ongoing investigation.

Wait — The blue bin is only for recycling. Dead bodies belong in the black bin. I hope the city fines the perpetrators.
