Fontana Police Officer Saves Life Of 6-Month-Old Boy

FONTANA (CBS) — A Fontana police officer is being hailed as a hero after he saved the life of an infant.

Officer Doug Locey and other members of the Fontana Police Department responded to a call this week at home where a six-month old boy was not breathing. The boy was not breathing due to a pre-exisiting medical condition.

The boy's mother was giving him CPR when officers arrived. Locey then took over and continued for several minutes until the baby began breathing again on his own.

The child was taken by paramedics to Loma Linda Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.
