HESPERIA (CBS) — Authorities are looking for a suspect who broke into a clothing store Tuesday morning and stole two wigs, women’s underwear and several pairs of red high heels from One Stop Fashion in Hesperia.
“We were in shock when we learned what they took,” said Suna Haddid, a store representative told the Victorville Daily Press.
“We received the silent-alarm call at 5:06 a.m.,” Sgt. Ernie Kopasz said. When deputies arrived at the store, they found the front window had been shattered, according to a report in the Daily Press.
Haddid and the store owner arrived a short time later and informed deputies that someone had taken the wigs off of two mannequins, several pairs of women’s underwear and several pairs of red high-heeled shoes.
Haddid joked that the burglar was preparing for Valentine’s Day.
Authorities said it was unclear if the burglar was male or female.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the suspect or crime to contact the Hesperia station at (760) 947-1500 or call WeTip at (800) 78-CRIME.
