'Sexually Frustrated' Meth-Smoking Glendale Man Caught Driving Naked From Waist Down

GLENDALE (CBS) — A Glendale computer technician faced drug and indecent exposure Tuesday after his arrest for allegedly driving around naked from the waist down while smoking methamphetamine.

Umar Kahn, 34, of Glendale, said he was "sexually frustrated" when was stopped during an early morning drive last Thursday in a residential neighborhood after police saw him run a stop sign, Glendale police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.

After stopping him in the 1300 block of Doverwood Drive, police asked Kahn why his pants and underwear were on the floorboard rather than on his body, and he replied he was "sexually frustrated and hadn't had sex in a month," Lorenz said.

When officers asked why that made him drive naked, the married Kahn replied that "it gave him a sense of freedom," according to Lorenz.

Kahn was booked on suspicion of methamphetamine possession, being under the influence of methamphetamine and indecent exposure.

He was later released on $35,000 bail, with a tentative court date of March 28.

Lorenz said police were investigating a similar situation Khan was allegedly involved in about a year ago in Pomona.
