2 Killed, 1 Injured In Apparent Gang-Related Shooting

WILMINGTON (CBS) — Two people were killed and a third was wounded in an apparent gang-related drive-by shooting outside of a minimart in Wilmington Monday night.

The shooting, which was reported at 9:12 p.m., took place at the intersection of Watson Road and East Pacific Coast Highway in Wilmington, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Karen Rayner said.

"Three people were walking down the street when they were shot by someone in a car," Rayner said. "Two people died at the scene and paramedics transported a third person to the hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds."

There was no information on the survivor's condition or about the suspect, Rayner said.

LAPD homicide investigators worked the scene Monday night.

Four suspects, who may have been driving a white SUV, were being sought by police.

There was no immediate information regarding the names and genders of the two dead victims.

Police were investigating the shooting as being gang related, Rayner said.
