Paraclete High Mourns 16-Year-Old Student Killed In Skateboarding Accident
LANCASTER (CBS) — Grief counselors Monday were at Paraclete High School, where students are mourning a 16-year-old boy who was killed in a skateboarding accident over the weekend.
Caleb Simpson, a popular sophomore football player, was skateboarding with his cousin at a family event on Saturday when he crashed.
He was not wearing a helmet at the time.
Paraclete High School Principal John Anson says Simpson was taken off life support.
Roughly 700 students turned out Sunday for a prayer service in the school's gym.
Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Lancaster.
