LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Jury selection is scheduled to begin Monday in the murder trial of a Los Angeles Police detective who is accused of killing her ex-boyfriend’s wife.

Stephanie Lazarus, 51, is charged in the 1986 murder of Sherri Rasmussen, who was shot to death in Van Nuys.

The murder case was cold until DNA evidence led to the arrest of Lazarus 23 years later in June 2009.
