SIMI VALLEY (CBS) — Police in Simi Valley report that a US Bank branch was robbed Sunday afternoon.
The robbery took place about 4:24 p.m. at the US Bank at 5135 Los Angeles Avenue — inside an Albertson’s grocery store – in Simi Valley.
The suspected robber got away with about $2,000, according to a news release from SVPD.
Police said the suspect used a note to demand money. He also claimed to have a weapon but he didn’t display it.
The suspect — described as a white male, approximately 20-30 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 160 pounds – fled on foot.
Police looked for the suspect using officers, both human and canine but the search turned up empty.
