Lakers Finally Crack 100 Points, Beat Timberwolves

MINNEAPOLIS (CBS)  -- For the first time in 14 games, the Los Angeles Lakers scored over 100 points,  leading to a 106-101 win over the  Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday night in Minnesota.

Kobe Bryant scored 35 points and set a franchise record in the second quarter when he made his 9,936th career field goal, passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

"All three of our guys stepped up and put the ball in the hole. Kobe scored 35, but I was much more impressed with his 14 rebounds." Lakers coach Mike Brown said after the game.

For the Lakers, they win their second road game of the season and have now defeated the Timberwolves 16 straight games.

Pau Gasol added 28 points.
