Driver Nabbed After Allegedly Brandishing Pistol In Possible Case Of Road Rage
COSTA MESA (CBS) — Authorities have arrested a Costa Mesa driver after he allegedly brandished a pistol at another motorist in a possible case of road rage.
The incident occurred about 3 p.m. Saturday.
Costa Mesa police Lt. Mark Manley told The Orange County Register that 24-year-old Michael Min Peck was arrested in a parking lot in the 200 block of South Bristol Street.
He was subsequently booked on suspicion of making a threat with a gun and possession of a loaded pistol, Manley said.
Peck, who was driving a 2010 Nissan Altima, allegedly displayed a 9 mm pistol after reportedly getting into some kind of dispute with a female driver, authorities said.
That gun was later seized as evidence.
Peck was released on $500 bail, according to jail records.
