HAWTHORNE (CBS) — Authorities report that a pedestrian was struck about 6 p.m. in Hawthorne and left in very critical condition.

There is no description of the suspect or vehicle.

The intersection of Hawthorne and Cordary was closed for several hours during the investigation.
