2 Men Open Fire On Long Beach Neighbors After Ongoing Dispute Erupts Into Fight

LONG BEACH (CBS) — Authorities are searching for two men who shot their neighbors Thursday after an ongoing dispute ignited into an all-out fight.

Officers were sent to an address in the 1100 block of East Plymouth Street about 11:20 p.m. Thursday after receiving a report that a gun had been fired.

Police found a 41-year-old woman and her 38-year-old boyfriend shot multiple times. Their identities were not released.

The man was more seriously wounded, with several bullet wounds to the body, and the woman was shot in the legs, the Press-Telegram reported.

Police said both should live.

Police searched an apartment in the complex but no immediate arrests were made.

Neighbors told the Press-Telegram the suspects are gang members who pick fights and bully people.

"I don't want to say nobody deserves to get shot, but everybody knows those guys are bad news and not to mess with them," one young woman, whose apartment complex had been searched, told the newspaper.

Anyone with more information concerning the whereabouts of the suspects was asked to call police at (562) 570-7330. Anonymous tips can be sent by text or e-mail to www.tipsoft.com.
