TMZ: Demi Moore Treated At Hospital For Substance Abuse

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Demi Moore was treated at a Los Angeles-area hospital Monday night for substance abuse, according to celebrity website TMZ.

The gossip website reports that police received an emergency call around 10:45 p.m. and paramedics later transported Moore to a local hospital, TMZ said.

"Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends," Moore's rep told TMZ.

The rep declined to comment on the TMZ report, saying, "We have no information beyond our statement."

The 49-year-old actress and her estranged husband Ashton Kutcher announced plans to divorce in November 2011.

Moore, star of films such as "Ghost," "St. Elmo's Fire" and "Indecent Proposal", had been married to the "Two and a Half Men" star since 2005.
