Earlier this month, Palmdale sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a burglary at the Rialto Concrete Products Plant located on East Avenue T.
"They discovered the suspects entered the property through a cut chain-link fence and stripped over 20 electrical boxes inside the plant," said Sgt. Pauline Panis.
Detectives said they have seen a sharp jump in this type of crime as the copper core inside wiring commonly used for industrial buildings has become a frequent target for thieves.
The concrete company estimated the cost to repair the damage from the theft at over $100,000.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Palmdale sheriff's station at (661) 272-2400.
