Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Jan. 23)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — The timing of this next system seems to be on track, just in time for the morning commute.

Expect rain some time after 6 a.m. and it will stretch into the late morning. We are looking at about .30" to .75" of rain.

This storm would be similar to the last system. The rain should end around the lunch hour with a cool and breezy afternoon.

The snow levels are high but will drop through the day down to 5,000'. This  storm could be a decent snow maker for local resorts which are looking at 7" to 10" of snow above 6000'.

High pressure will build in on Tuesday and we will swing from winter to summer in about 48 hours with highs in the basin hitting near 80 degrees by Wednesday.

A winter storm warning will be in effect until 8 p.m. Monday. There is a heavy surf advisory in place and a high wind advisory through Monday night as well.

Beaches - upper 50s
Basin - upper 50s
Valleys - upper 50s to low 60s
Deserts - low 50s
Mountains - upper 30s
