Help The Westside Food Bank Feed Thousands!
STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Vote to help the Westside Food Bank win $50,000 and feed the hungry!
Actress Shelly Long and Genevieve Riutort visited the KCAL 9 studios Monday to talk about a contest that could help feed 200,000. For 30 years, the Westside Food Bank has provided food to local social service agencies in Western Los Angeles County.
The American Inspired contest is on Examiner.com. Kim Koury, who started a pub crawl that attracted over 5,000 people dressed like Santas & Elves to Santa Monica Bars and raised over $17,000 for Westside Food Bank, is nominated in the Passion category. If she wins, the Westside Food Bank will receive the $50,000 Prize, which would provide food for 200,000 meals.
Half of Westside Food Bank's food goes to children in Western Los Angeles County.
