Romoland Woman Accuses Male Friend, 26, Of Sexual Assault And Kidnapping

PERRIS (CBS) — A Romoland woman says a male friend abducted her from her residence, sexually assaulted her and kept her at an undisclosed location for six days, according to Riverside Sheriff's.

On November 23, 2011, at about 9:00 p.m., deputies responded to a residence in Romoland regarding a past sexual assault.

The victim reported that at 11:00 p.m. on October 23, 2011, a male friend, who was identified as 26-year-old Anastasios Stefanidis of San Bernardino, abducted her from her residence and sexually assaulted her in his vehicle.

She also says Stefanidis kept her at an undisclosed location until October 29, 2011, when he returned her to her residence.

Further investigation led investigators to two additional adult victims of alleged sexual assaults.

On January 13, 2012, Stefanidis was located in San Bernardino County and taken into custody. He was booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for kidnap, rape and false imprisonment.
